Christmas 2011 Decor

Welcome to a tour of the Cundiff Christmas Decor. The cowboy tree is our fave. My mother made the ceramic deer, bear and sleigh for me many years ago. The red little angel ornament was hand sewn by a friend. Love the village. The nutcracker soliders are my son's collection. And I LOVE snowman!! Enjoy. Thanks for visiting. Merry Christmas. I'm back...

One of my (many) new years resolutions (yes, I make them) is to blog at least 3-4 times weekly, would like to think I can blog daily. We will see. Decided I would start practicing now...

Life is busy. I'm dhs certified for in-home daycare. Success was making an "A" in my very first ever college class. Currently enrolled in my second college class. Wanting to finish my real estate license venture. Just need to study up and take exam!

Due to being unemployed for quite while now, we are dead broke. Learning many many lessons about life, money, being frugal, and doing with out. Christmas at the Cundiff's is very slim this year. Thankful my kids are bigger so they kind of understand.

Keeping this house clean, selling Avon, taking class and keeping up with two dogs keeps me pretty busy daily.

Thanks for stopping by. I have pictures to upload and get on this blog site...will do that tonight or tomorrow.

Love, Kimberly

Present and accounted for

Good Morning, I'm alive! Yes, believe it or not, I'm alive (sorta)...LOL...Lots has happened in life since I was last here. I have quite my job, due to my health and some other issues. My father had a major heart attach, and now, thanks to Oklahoma Heart Hospital is doing quite well. My daughter Janie has started college, and is doing good. My son, the HS sophomore, is waiting anxiously for December to get his drivers license. Todd is doing spectacular after having kideny surgery, and doc finally released him for full duty after knee surgery. I have enrolled in an on line college, hope to get my BS in Psychology, and am currently trying to talk myself into finishing DHS application for in home daycare again (sigh)...need some income deserpately bad. Goal: stay at home, do daycare, be here for Matthew and his needs (and wants) till he finishes HS, and I get degree. Then I hope to work with DHS or a school as a councelor or something like that. :-) Life is hard, but good right now. I am one blessed chick! More later with pictures, Kimberly.

update...

I ALWAYS HAVE A LOT GOING ON!!! LOL!!! Update: Todd's surgery was successful. Dr. said he would NOT have passed it on his own. It was larger than they thought, actually they could not see all of it on cat scan or x-ray. Recovery from surgery brought pain and a blood clot that scared Todd a bit. But we got throught it. THANK YOU GOD!!! Heat wave here in NE Oklahoma is almost un-bearable. Highs this week up 110 or 111. Thanking the Lord for AC. Praying for those who have to work out in heat. Maggie is a joy, and is growing like a weed. She is impossible to photograph, too quick. Enjoying my time home today, seems like last two weeks have been such a whirl-wind. At the very last step of enrolling at on-line university, feet feel cold, but am excited. Very much need AVON business to pick up! I sincerely hope all is well with all of you. I promise pictures sometime!! Have an awesome day!! Love, Kimberly

More changes...

Prayers welcomed again, more changes in my life. I am going to enroll in an on-line university and try and get my BS in psychology. Death

Life is too short. My 46-year old sister (in law) passed away last Thursday. She left behind a husband, three sons, youngest 18, three grand-sons, a daughter in law, and four theraputic foster sons (all upper teenagers). And a host of other relatives and friends. She had a heart attack, after that she died, of a blood clot that went from lung straight to heart. So very very sad. So people, live each day to it's fullest, pray, laugh and love!! My heart is heavy, but there are a few things I will be doing to honor and remember her. Start a serious walking program, and I will forever watch out for her family as if they were my very own. Love you all.

Can you say kidney stone?

After two violent attacks, and a trip to our easy access clinc, TODD has a kidney stone. It is currently trying to pass from the kidney to the bladder, through a very narrow (tiny) passage way. Praying it passes, as he is at work. Can't really take off right now. Really praying he can endure the pain...prayers welcomed. When it rains it pours, doctor appt. this week to see if he can go back to line-work full force. :o)

Misc.

In My Kitchen this week………is chicken fried steak waiting to be cooked.

In My Yard ……the tulips are up strong, and the cannas are peaking through.

I’ve been thinking …a lot of China.

What motivates me more than anything else is …the weather.

My Devotional life and walk with Christ …are lacking. I have fallen off the church wagon (again). Am anxious to get back on. I miss my church and church friends!

I struggle …with my diabetes ALWAYS.

I dread …I am thankful for a job, but sometimes dread it. I want to be a stay at home mom and wife again!

But I look forward …the weekends, being outside, and riding my horse.

Spring or Winter?

Hi,

Really nice yesterday in NE Oklahoma, high temp 70 and not much wind. High today, 40 or so, gray, and drizzly. Wish weather would make up it's mind. We are supposed to have 80s later this week. Go figure. :o)

Saving money on Groceries...any ideas?

Hi,

Our family is struggling. Groceries and Gas are really the only things we have "wiggle" room on...The price(s) of fresh fruits and veggies are so high here, even at Wal-Mart, where I do most of my shopping. Does anyone have tried and true ideas for saving? Our family, every year (with tax refund) buys a whole beef and puts in the freezer. We want to have a garden, but start up expense is so high, we have no tiller. I guess I am just wondering what every body else is doing when buying groceries. We are a family of four with two teenagers, a boy and a girl. Any ideas appreciated. I am trying (with beef in freezer) to only spend $100/week, that includes all groceries, paper-goods, med. cab. things, etc. Help.

Happy New Year

Hi, Happy New Year to you all. My only excuse for not blogging, is I have been so busy, I've barely had time to turn around. My new job at Oklahoma State University is a "big" job, and I have been learning learning learning. Some days I feel like I can't do it, but after much daily prayer, God is showing me how to keep on trying. We are in the last semester of daughter Janie's HS years...she is filling out tons and tons of scholarship apps. Matthew is busy bowling and helping out. Todd, had an accident while fire fighting (volunteer)...gate on truck was not latched, and he leaned into it while hosing fire, and fell out of truck! Large man, his age, falling...never good. No broken bones, very very very sore left shoulder, and knee, oh my, knee. It was swollen huge, HUGE. Going back to doctor again today (went last Monday; to swollen to tell anything!), hope we know something more about how injured it is. He was resting, and icing, and praying this last week. Has thrown down his crutch, and is hobbling around pretty well. Still swollen and oh so bruised. Prayers welcomed for him. Will probably have to been on light duty at his real job (lineman) for a while! And, we have snow today, and an artic front coming int. Oh so cold tonight and tomorrow!! Thank you God Todd is able to help me feed/water horses and chickens. And we are blessed with many many friends wanting and waiting to help. Our church, our friends, our small group, and our families have been just awesome through out this accident. Thank you God!! As I said above, life is flying by...crazy fast. I have many pictures to share with you all...hopefully soon. Stay safe and warm. Love you all! Kimberly
