Weekend Plans

HI,

We hardly ever have real weekend plans, but this weekend we do. Todd has Academy Sports Store Money and needs tennis shoes; so we will be stopping there. And then we have decided to go to OKC zoo!! This will be a family outing, as daughter Jane is looking for a summer job, and getting prepared to fly off to college. I am excited to just have a fun day!! Hope you too have a great weekend. Love, Kimberly

Misc.

In My Kitchen this week………is chicken fried steak waiting to be cooked.

In My Yard ……the tulips are up strong, and the cannas are peaking through.

I’ve been thinking …a lot of China.

What motivates me more than anything else is …the weather.

My Devotional life and walk with Christ …are lacking. I have fallen off the church wagon (again). Am anxious to get back on. I miss my church and church friends!

I struggle …with my diabetes ALWAYS.

I dread …I am thankful for a job, but sometimes dread it. I want to be a stay at home mom and wife again!

But I look forward …the weekends, being outside, and riding my horse.

Spring or Winter?

Hi,

Really nice yesterday in NE Oklahoma, high temp 70 and not much wind. High today, 40 or so, gray, and drizzly. Wish weather would make up it's mind. We are supposed to have 80s later this week. Go figure. :o)

Life-long dream

I want to show horses. I currently own two horses, but I need a show-quality (registered) horse. Turning 45 in a couple of months...is it too late for me?

Saving money on Groceries...any ideas?

Hi,

Our family is struggling. Groceries and Gas are really the only things we have "wiggle" room on...The price(s) of fresh fruits and veggies are so high here, even at Wal-Mart, where I do most of my shopping. Does anyone have tried and true ideas for saving? Our family, every year (with tax refund) buys a whole beef and puts in the freezer. We want to have a garden, but start up expense is so high, we have no tiller. I guess I am just wondering what every body else is doing when buying groceries. We are a family of four with two teenagers, a boy and a girl. Any ideas appreciated. I am trying (with beef in freezer) to only spend $100/week, that includes all groceries, paper-goods, med. cab. things, etc. Help.
