Thank you Andrew and Carol for the
use of the tractor! We used it
to move the excess dirt from the
cellar to level out the driveway!
The cellar is DONE!
I'm ready for a thunderstorm, and some needed rain!
I hope you all have a wonderful day! Talk to you soon! Love, Kimberly

Hi Kimberly,
Looks like you definitely got some needed dirtwork done! I had posted a while back showing my parents home getting a tornado shelter installed. We have lived in Oklahoma for 15 years and had never seen one being put in. It seems like one moment there is not a shelter and you drive by someones home and one is installed. It was quite interesting!
It has rained off and on all week on us. They had been talking about Saturday night our area having heavy thunderstorms and rain and nothing even happened!
I wish I had a friend with a tractor! I could use one in my backyard. Home Depot has little one you can rent - I'm thinking for doing that.
Hope you get some rain soon and thanks for stopping by!

I just stopped by to say that after the two afternoon thunderstorms and boy were they noisy.....that we also ended up with more rain around 2:00 a.m. Thank goodness none of the storms dumped any hail! We are also showing a 30% chance of more rain today. It is just REALLY hot and muggy right now so I would welcome more rain.
I've never seen one of these in person. How much space is inside?
Maybe you could give a little bloggy tour for those of us who are unfamiliar with this type of storm shelter? Do you have room for chairs/cots or standing room only? Can you get radio reception inside? So many questions... ;-)
It looks like you'd be quite secure inside-that's gotta be a relief.
