Ice Storm

This is some of what we have been dealing with. It looks pretty, but there is a layer of ice underneath it all. The college and our local school closed for two and a half days.

Things here are good. We are getting back to normal. Enjoyed the time off with the kids.

I love making new friends. Today, I am participating in Making Friends Monday. Kacey over at All That Is Good is hosting Friend Makin on Monday. So today we are to share 10 things about ourselves. Here is goes:


1. I Love Horses (Own two of them), Sheep, and Chickens.
2. My husband and I have two teenagers, but I would love to have a baby!
3. I must have a fan on at night to sleep, and lots of soft covers.
4. I sleep with my head covered.
5. I have very cold feet most nights.
6. My hair is long and very thick.
7. I love watching my daughter pitch HS softball, and my son pitch HS baseball!
8. Green is my favorite color, I like purple too.
9. Mexican food is my fave.
10. I serve a mighty God.

Howdy from the icebox. It is sooooo cold here. Not even a flake of snow, but a nice coating of ice on everything. It has been doing the freezing rain thing here since this morning. They let school out early due to the icy roads.

It's warm here, but another dose of winter weather is headed our way. Cupcake likes the cold, he has so much wool still on.

Wahoo! Thanks goodness it's Friday. Today, I am giving you pictures of what we do every evening in prepration for the Spring Livestock Shows. These are of daughter J. and the one is me, showing her I still have what it takes!

I'm doing a lot of cleaning this weekend. Working on office/craft room. I took some before pics, and will try and take after ones soon and post.

January 19, 2009 Braces

Good Day, this is how we spend the majority of our day. Please notice in 2nd picture, the lovely braces our son M will have to wear for probably somewhere between 1 1/2 to 2 years. From the front of the picture before, his teeth look okay, but inside his mouth they are a jumbled mess. He previously had just braces on the front top two teeth. He is quite a trooper. No complaining at all, and I know they hurt.

Okay, here it is Saturday, and still no more pics loaded. What is the deal with me? I'm am getting the hang of loading the pictures, I just don't have that many good ones to load. Solution, take more pictures!

I have been trying to imagine my bedroom as a haven (see button on first corth. challenge) for hubby and I...it has a way to go before it gets there. That is what I am working on today. I promise to finish getting my Christmas pictures on here this weekend. Then I will move on to something else.
