January 19, 2009 Braces

Good Day, this is how we spend the majority of our day. Please notice in 2nd picture, the lovely braces our son M will have to wear for probably somewhere between 1 1/2 to 2 years. From the front of the picture before, his teeth look okay, but inside his mouth they are a jumbled mess. He previously had just braces on the front top two teeth. He is quite a trooper. No complaining at all, and I know they hurt.

Did you say that you are married to a electical lineman? My husband is currently going to Northwest Lineman College, and I am looking for a little insight. It is getting to be that time when he starts applying for jobs and such. haha, so what do we look for? We are just a young family with two small children. I have done some reading and from what I gather we want to look for a co-op or city utility rather than contractors, to minimize his travel time...right? Oh, this all too much for me. If you could help me out please e-mail me. Thanks!

Hi Kimberly!

How is M’s progress with braces coming along? Your post caught my attention because I’m working with the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO)! Though M has already been in braces for a few months now, I wanted to quickly introduce your family to the AAO’s website at, which offers braces friendly recipes, answers to braces myths, and helpful tips in oral care to help you through the transition into a healthy beautiful smile!

Let me know if you have any questions about braces! We’re here to help!

Keep Smiling,
